MIDSUMMER AND SWEDISH NATIONAL DAY ARE ALMOST HERE
The Nordic summer season is approaching quickly, and with it come two of the most beloved celebrations of the year: the Swedish National Day on 6th June and Midsummer shortly after.
To make sure your festive table is filled with all the traditional favourites – from herring and smoked salmon to aquavit, sweets and seasonal delicacies – we highly recommend placing your pre-orders as early as possible.
Some seasonal products are only available by pre-order, especially whole smoked fish fillets and selected smoked fish products. Many items also arrive in limited quantities, so ordering ahead is the safest way to reserve your favourites.
The first new potatoes of the season are expected to arrive already this week – more will be arriving within 10 days, and the last delivery about a week before the midsummer celebrations.
For guaranteed availability, please place your Midsummer pre-orders no later than 29th May.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT FINNISH PRODUCTS
The pre-order deadline for products arriving directly from Finland has unfortunately already passed.
The products that are arriving before Midsummer will be updated in the webshop shortly. Please also note that this will be the final major delivery of refrigerated Finnish products before the middle of September. There will although be one smaller shipment in the middle of August.

FRESH ARRIVALS & NEW PRODUCTS
This week’s shipment will bring another delicious selection of Nordic favourites to our shelves. Some products, especially fresh and refrigerated items with shorter best-before dates, tend to disappear quickly – so don’t wait too long if something catches your eye.
We’re also happy to introduce a few new additions:
Macaroni 400 g
Finely ground rye malt for Nordic baking
Mustard herring in a larger jar – by popular demand
THANK YOU, RIVIERAKLUBBEN
A big thank you to Rivieraklubben for organising such a lovely spring celebration.
And thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand during the event – it was wonderful to meet so many familiar and new faces. Everybody wanted to try the smoked reindeer bites, and they disappeared incredibly fast!
We also received many great answers to our fun quiz competition, and the gift card winner has already been contacted personally by email.
Here are the right answers to the quiz:
What do reindeer eat?
Reindeer adapt their diet to the changing Nordic seasons. During the long Arctic winters, they mainly survive on lichen — especially reindeer lichen — which they dig out from beneath the snow with their hooves. In summer, they enjoy a much more varied diet including grasses, herbs, leaves, mushrooms, buds, and even tree bark.
This unique natural diet contributes to the distinctive flavour of traditional Nordic reindeer products.

What makes moose meat special in terms of nutrition and fat content?
Moose meat is naturally very lean and low in fat while being rich in high-quality protein, iron, and essential nutrients. Its deep, full-bodied game flavour comes from animals roaming freely in the Nordic wilderness.
Often considered one of the purest wild meats in the world, moose is prized for both its rich taste and its healthy nutritional profile.

What makes lingonberries unique in flavour and use?
Lingonberries have a fresh, tangy flavour with a pleasantly tart and slightly bitter finish. In Nordic cuisine, they are traditionally served alongside meat and wild game dishes, where their bright acidity perfectly balances rich flavours. Lingonberries are naturally rich in antioxidants and vitamin C, making them one of the healthiest berries found in the Nordic forests. They also contain natural preservatives, allowing them to stay fresh for a long time without additives.
Wild lingonberries grow across the forests of Scandinavia and Finland, thriving in dry, sunny woodland areas.
