PACKING & RETURNS

We are trying to be as environmentally friendly as possible by re-using both boxes and packing material.

Even if the items are packaged carefully damage can occur during delivery. If only possible we will re-send the items, if not we will offer a full refund.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We will also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error.  (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.) In case of a possible return, you must contact us first.

We do not have a return policy for perishable items, unless there is something wrong with the product.

If your items have arrived damaged, faulty or are not what you ordered, please let us know soonest and we will together find the best possible solution.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

Products arrive on regular basis, some items weekly, some only twice a year, mostly the frequency is 2-3 weeks. We do our very best to update in on-line shop as soon as possible if we run out of stock of an item. In case you have ordered something we at that moment do not have we will be in contact with you without delay and will together find the best possible solution.

Fresh items have a limited shelf life, in some cases only a week after arrival. If an item has unusually short time left to best-before date we will contact you before shipment of your order.

If you don’t find a product you are longing for in our selection, tell us about it. We have limited opportunities to add new items on the standard selection but are willing to supply individual items for specific needs relying on our suppliers and the logistics.

PRODUCTS ON BACKORDER

For the majority of perishable items we are out of stock of we already know the next date of arrival. The site lets you order the product but if nothing else is separately agreed, the whole order will be shipped as the last item has arrived. The estimated date of arrival is shown on the product, for guaranteed availability the given order latest -date must be respected.

The shipping time is time in business days from dispatch – handling time comes on top of this. We aim to ship within 2 working days after payment verification.

The delivery costs of each order are calculated individually based on its weight, volume, destination country, delivery method and is specified on the cart page after you enter the delivery destination.

Free delivery is offered for shipments with Mondial Relay (only non perishable products) when a certain order value is reached, see the table above. If your order contains products with different temperature requirements we suggest you place two different orders to take advantage of this option.

Pickup from the store. You have the option to pay only 50 % of the order value in advance, balance when the order is picked up. If you wish to use this option enter the code PICKUP on the cart page. If your billing adress is outside France you need to give a French delivery adress, for example in your account details, to be allowed to choose the option pickup.

The dimensions and the weights used are for the external packet. They are stated on the additional informations of each product.

For chilled products we mostly use the easy2cool paperfloc shipping system. The insulating elements are made from 100% recyclable materials and can be disposed of as a whole in the paper waste. The easyAkku cold packs, which are specially developed for shipping food items, ensure that your goods remain chilled and fresh for a very long time. During the warmest months from May to middle of September our packaging may not be enough to keep the products refrigerated during the transit to USA, shipment only at customers risk.

Frozen products, conditional shipping means that the product will melt at least partially during the delivery even though the fastest method DHL Express is used and should be consumed within a few days. Shipment to arrive as frozen is available in France, cost starts at 25 euros and no other products than frozen can be packed in the same parcel. Please contact us for details.

Fresh breads have mostly a best before date only a few days after production and is, due to long delivery time, already past by arrival to us. Normally this is not a problem with rye breads as they usually are good up to two weeks after the date. For the breads to arrive as fast as possible to you the only possible shipping method is DHL Express

Alcoholic drinks are not sent outside France. For many products there is an alcohol-free equivalent

The parcels are sent daily on our normal opening days but the ones with refrigerated products within Europe normally on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, to US and Canada on Thursdays and Fridays.

Taxes and import duties Orders for delivery outside France may be subject to customs brokerage fees, import duties, and taxes after the shipment reaches the destination country. All additional charges are the responsibility of the recipient because we have no control over these government-imposed charges and cannot determine what they may be. Customs policies vary greatly among countries. Please contact your local customs office for information.

The table indicates delivery methods, costs and transit times for low season only. It does not necessarily apply for orders placed during November and December.

We use third-party couriers and we cannot be held responsible for our courier’s failures to deliver on time due to circumstances beyond our control. However, we will always do our best to correct any problems.
