It is the time of the year that Christmas has totally taken over our store. Some time ago we have received all Christmas decorations, drinks and candies. Since a few weeks shipments of fresh food arrive weekly. We consider us ready for Christmas but even ready to celebrate our 10th anniversary which is officially on 30th November 2023.

Time really flies when you have fun! It seems like yesterday the panic we were facing before the official opening. There just wasn’t enough time to get all things sorted before the opening, the last night before it we didn’t even sleep. Who would have thought what we would be facing the coming years, at least not we.

This is how we had it exactly 10 years ago 😳. That date the grand opening of Nordic Temptations store was only just over a week away and we had long and sweaty days ahead to get all sorted.

In 2016, after 3 years in business we wanted more space to develop our operations. Therefore, we also rented the adjacent commercial space, which was connected with a doorway to the original one. The total area of the premises doubled!

In the new premises, we have organized for example art exhibitions, product presentations, catering events with both buffet dinners and private celebrations. It has served as corporate meeting space, restaurant, café and much more.

In 2020 we added a requested but space-consuming novelty to our selection, pick’n’mix candies. Resulting that we needed to allocate part of the newer space for products on sale.

At the same time, due to understandable reasons, the nature of the operations had shifted towards deliveries. Within the same space, a movable partition was installed to create packaging and storage area.

A lot has happened during the years: there have been reasons for joy but also disappointments, mistakes have been made but lessons have been learned from them. We are especially grateful to all our customers who have travelled this journey with us.

On Thursday 30th November is our 10th anniversary

In store every client receives a special gift. There are product bundles of 10 euros at significantly reduced prices. On the website we give a 10 % reduction on your order.

The celebrations go on until the end of the week, Saturday 2nd December.

The baking days of Lucia saffron buns are now fixed! They will be made on 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 12th, 13th and 15th December 2023.

All needs of 6 buns or more must be pre-ordered through webshop latest 24 hours before (The days we bake lussekatter there will not be any fresh cinnamon rolls)

For already some time we have received shipments of fresh products every week. And this will continue until Christmas, inclusive the Christmas week. At the moment we have for example a wide variety of mulled wine, glögg, all Christmas candies and chocolates, hams, herrings, cheeses, other drinks, decorations, gingerbreads and dough etc, you name it.

The official deadline for all Christmas orders is now over. Due to high demand both online and in-store, availability information in the webshop may not be entirely up-to-date and we can no longer guarantee the availability. If we have any shortages, we will inform you promptly.

Please alse note that the online shop will be closed in mid-December, as orders received after that may not be delivered in time for Christmas. Neither will we have the possibility to plock any orders for pick-up.

is available according to the normal schedule.

Available on Tuesday evening: sweet rye bread. 100 % sour-dough rye bread will be steaming hot on Wednesday about 13:00, Karelian pasties are available from Friday morning. Cinnamon rolls are baked every day and ready around 11:30 (except the days we make Lucia saffron buns).

Opening hours

Through out the end of the year holidays we will be open normally: from Tuesday to Saturday. Even Christmas eve 24th December and New Years’ eve 31st December 2023.

By arrival with private vehicle the closest parking is the “La Poste” with entrance just in front of us on rue Vauban, outdoor parking and the garage “Pré-des-Pêcheurs” in the harbour.
