Pure nature, fresh air and love for local food – in Netta Tiitinens’ paintings, children convey moods of Nordic food culture from its roots.

Netta Tiitinen was born in 1980 in Vantaa, Finland, currently lives and works in Järvenpää.

She is a self-taught artist, painter and installation artist who has exceptionally fast become one of the current top-ranking artists.

A key theme of the works are usually children, through which Tiitinen examines everyday life and the world go by, painting with acrylic paints, combining figurative and abstract, using earthy tones.

The breakthrough came in the Salmela Art Centre show in summer 2012, where she was voted the favourite of the audience. After that Tiitinen has had regular solo exhibitions, for example in Gallery Contempo in Helsinki, Galerie Nicolas Flamel in Paris, Gumbostrand Konst & Form in Sipoo and participated in collective exhibitions, for example at Salmela Art Centre, Art Helsinki, Eunique 2012 in Karlsruhe, Germany and the Affordable Art Fair in Stockholm.
