Oltermanni® is Finland’s most popular cream cheese which has delighted us for over thirty years. Oltermanni is often compared to Danish cheese Havarti in terms of taste and flavour while some compare it with Muenster. It is made from the beginning in Finland from pure Finnish pasteurised cow’s milk, it is both lactose free and free of any additives!
The name Oltermanni means alderman (ålderman in Swedish), which is derived from the Old English title of ealdorman, literally meaning “elder man”, and was used by the chief nobles presiding over shires or “wise man”.
