Halloumi is originally a Cypriot semi-hard, unripened brined cheese made from a mixture of goat‘s, sheep’s and cow’s milk.

It is a very versatile cheese: Halloumi can be eaten fresh as it is with fruits, in salad or with wine. Halloumi cheese can also be grilled, fried or boiled as the melting point is very high. To reduce the saltiness halloumi can be rinsed or soaked in cold water.
