MIDSUMMER

Midsummer is one of the most important holidays in the Nordic calendar, second only to Christmas. From Thursday noon onwards it is very hard to reach anyone in the north as people start celebrating the Midsummer.

Cities will be empty as whole families travel to their summer cottages, by lake side or otherwise to the countryside to celebrate and enjoy the delicacies of the season: fish in all different forms, new potatoes, herring and hopefully even strawberries if they have arrived in time. Learn more about the Midsummer traditions in the different countries.

Please note that some of the Midsummer essentials are only available on pre-order.
