WELCOME 2025
By the time of writing this newsletter, end of January the year is no longer new but it is still almost entirely ahead.
THE PAST YEAR
For us the past year 2024 didn’t differ much from the previous year. The availability of different products has varied greatly meaning there were, and still is, longer periods we are out of stock of popular goods.
The carriers have performed much more reliably but still caused some serious head aches by making our shipments disappear or make a detour. But isn’t entrepreneurship all about making things work and keeping customers happy despite the difficulties?
By the end of the year we changed the wholesaler of Finnish products. They have a much larger selection than the previous one meaning there has been and will be long-awaited additions to the selection, like fermented herring – surströmming is now back in stock!
Some periods the interval between newsletters has been rather long. Please follow us also on facebook or instagram to receive all latest updates. The facebook feed is also presented on our NEWS page.
Unfortunately we needed to close the webshop already on 9th December as we did not have the capacity to take any new orders. By this date all the products for Christmas were already ordered from the suppliers and we were not able to increase our purchases any more. For us it was a positive problem but we sincerely apologize if you, our dear customer, were too late out with your needs. Once again we want to remind you of the importance of pre-ordering for Christmas by latest the date we have informed.
Over all, the past year has been, thanks to you, again a success. The sales through webshop increased by an amazing 50 percent! The webshop customers have also given our operations an excellent rating, 4.8 stars out of 5. If interested what they say about us, take a look on Trustpilot.

SAVE THE DATE – SOON TIME FOR MARDI GRAS BUNS
Soon is the time for the delight of the spring – the wheat flour buns, flavoured with cardamom and filled with whipped cream and almond paste or raspberry jam, which ever you prefer.
Available in limited amounts on Fridays and Saturdays from 7th February 2025 onwards until 1st March. And of course on Fat Tuesday 4th March 2025. Available the baking days from 12:30 onwards.y.
We strongly recommend pre-ordering latest the day before through webshop, by e-mail orders@nordictemptations.com or telephone 04 89 02 72 60 (+33 489 02 72 60 from non-French numbers).
When ordering through webshop remember to put in the order notes what day you want to pick them up.
The Fat Tuesday buns are not available for postal deliveries
FRESH FROM FINLAND IN FEBRUARY
As you already well know the intervall between shipments of products of Finnish origin is rather long. The next arrival will be about 13th February and the dead-line for guaranteed availability as approaching.
The amounts are limited. If there are no orders for certain products, it may even be so that we skip it totally.
So please, place your order by latest 30th January.

By arrival with private vehicle the closest parking is the “La Poste” with entrance just in front of us on rue Vauban, outdoor parking and the garage “Pré-des-Pêcheurs” in the harbour.
